Treatment with Lonopin 60mg Injection
Lonopin 60mg Injection is used in the treatment and prevention of prevention of blood clots. It is also used in a heart attack.
Self Care Tips:
You have been prescribed Lonopin 60mg Injection for the prevention of blood clots.
Regular lab tests are not required to check whether it’s working, unlike other similar medications.
Lonopin 60mg Injection increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, or using sharp objects.
Inform your doctor if you are also taking other medicines that affect bleeding risk like aspirin and NSAIDs.
Notify your doctor if there is bleeding from gums, nose, or wounds that lasts more than 15 minutes, or if blood appears in urine, stool or vomit.
Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Precautions :
The patient must take certain measures before and while using Lonopin Injectionicon to ensure proper treatment and avoid any unreasonable scenario. These include :-
Lonopin Injection is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lonopin Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Lonopin Injection is released in small amounts in the breast milk and amounts reaching the baby are also small, which would not be expected to cause any harmful effects to the baby.
Lonopin 60mg Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Lonopin Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lonopin Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Lonopin Injection in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
However, cautious use is advised in patients with underlying liver disease.
Some of the side effects are :-
Side Effects of Lonopin are Low blood platelets, Increased liver enzymes, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Bleeding.
How Lonopin Injection works
Lonopin Injection is an anticoagulant. It works by inactivating certain blood-clotting proteins. This prevents the formation of blood clots and prevents blockages in the blood vessels of the body.
